WELCOME TO HOTEL ERNA
Situated in a sunny spot near forests, framed by the natural beauty of the countryside, our place is idealfor recreation. In the holiday resort of Gossensass and its surroundings, you come across traces of great tradition everywhere. After its heyday as a mining town from the mid-1500s to 1660, Gossensass (3,610 feet above sea level) was granted the rank of a market town by Emperor Franz Josef I in 1908, thus gaining certain commercial and administrative privileges. Members of the European high nobility, scholars, scientists, artists, sculptors and writers went to Gossensass for their holidays, including Henrik Ibsen, who spent seven summers there.
